Cruella

Okay, so Cruella may have been a little evil, with the whole murdering puppies thing, but I have to admit, she was a woman ahead of her time.

The Dalmatian trend is in full swing and I am seriously still loving every part of it.

Flipping Out.

If I could do anything in the world, it would be flipping houses. My high school boyfriend and I said that when I graduated college, we would start a house flipping business in Charleston, South Carolina (my most favorite city, like, ever). Well, the boyfriend didn't work out and neither did the whole Charleston thing, but my dream of flipping houses still exits.

So with my passion, comes a slight torture. I am on Redfin all day finding houses I would want to flip. I literally call my realtor on a weekly basis (who is also my cousin) and say "So I found a new house, it's just over $900,000 but for the neighborhood, it is such a deal. Besides winning the lottery or selling a child, how can we can we make this work?" Normally, she has already hung up before I finish my sentence. Anyways, this is my current house I am obsessing over:

It is a beautiful house, in an amazing neighborhood and could be worth more than $2 million, but the inside is a little dated.

So I obviously already completely renovated the entire house. And, of course, I started with the kitchen. Before:

And here is what I would like to do...

(1) Gorgeous unexpected china & barware (2) Dalmatian Spotted Coffee Nook (3) Black Hicks Pendant Lights (4) Campaign Style Cabinetry (5) Huge island & multiple counter stools (6) Viking Sealed Burner Gas Range & Huge Viking Chimney Hood Vent (7) Farmers Sink, Open shelving, Fridge next to sink (8) Enormous Dining Table with Multiple Light Fixtures

It would be fabulous, right!? Until the day I can actually buy these houses...I will just keep dreaming...

Scatterbrained.

A brief look into my seriously attention deficit brain....

1) Michele from Calico Daisy sent me an promo code for anyone ordering from her! (You can read the post here about her amazing work). She is offering free shipping to all my readers. Michele is also great with custom work (I was going to have her monogram a shower curtain and possibly some dining room chair slipcovers), so do not hesitate to ask her about any other project you may have! Here is the code: MSIFALL2012

2) I spent most of the week rearranging my Pinterest boards. Seriously so time consuming and maybe a waste of time, but I can sleep a little better at night. Check out all my boards and start following me!

3) I have an update on my client's living room! Her pillows came in for the sofa and they seriously look amazing! Remember this?

Here is her sofa coming together...

And the rug (which looks amazing by the way, I was there when it was delivered and I am obsessed)...

And the coasters....

3) I'm working with another client on their dining room and a few other parts of their home. They are close friends and have given me a ton of "designer challenges". We literally spent 4 hours rearranging their bookshelves! Here it is now (still a work in progress):

And here is our idea for the dining room:

They already have the furniture, so we only have to order the chandelier, the botanical prints (which we downloaded from Vintage Printables, post here), and the rug. I'm making curtains for the window in the room, using this fabric.

We are really excited about it! Obvi, will post update pics. And remember, if you are interested in having me help you design or redesign a room, here is my post with all the information. Have a great holiday!

World Market!

I did my usual routine last night: put the kids to bed, turn on my DVRed Bachelor Pad (45 minutes in, obvi), and open Pinterest on my iPad. I literally had to pause Blakely mid-cry because of all these amazing items from World Market that were pinned. Those that don't know - World Market is a combo of Ikea, Crate and Barrel, and Anthropologie. I've bought a ton of great items from there in the past for my own home. I decided to keep my DVR paused to browse the entire website and I was in awe! I absolutely needed half of the items from World Market. Here are some of my favs (and looks to go with it):

SO so so many great things, right?!

PS How happy are you that Sarah & Chris stayed another week!! Woohoo!
