Sister's Redesign

Right now I am helping my sister redesign her living room. She lives with three other girls is a typical district row house. It is a super cute space, but since it is a rental, there are many limitations as far as decorating goes. Here is a before shot (with my sister's beautiful roomie):

We spent the other night creating an inspiration board for the new living room. Because there are four girls living together, we wanted it to be extra girlie. We were on a very tight "just graduated college" budget, so we really tried to reuse items they already owned and searched for wallet-friendly additions. Here is the what we put together:

1. Home Depot Sunburst Mirror  2. Free Prints from VintagePrintable.com (enlarged and printed at 50% off with coupon code 50now from Snapfish.com)  3. Skirt current Media Stand using Melon Twizzler Fabric  4. Grey Herringbone Throw  5. Client's Ikea Ektorp Sofa  6. Moroccan Pillow Covers  7. Client's Brass Floor Lamps with White Shades (here is a similar one)  8. Coffee table books from here and here  9. 13" Gold Laquer Tray  10. Hand Woven Jute Rug  11. High Gloss Ikea Lack Table with Brass Box Corners  12. Fresh Peonies (any flower market) in cylinder vase  13. Target Grey Medallion Chair

We ordered a lot of the new items already but still have to install everything. As soon as we do, I will be sure to post after pics!!

  1. Keep it coming! When I move into my new apartment I plan on buying at least half of these items :-)
